A little about me

NICU nurse, photographer, traveler & homebody at heart!

I'm candice!- a newly engaged 40-year-old fur mama living in the peaceful quiet countryside of Indiana. There I share life with my fiancé, Jarrod and my beloved 9 yr old lab/dobe mix, Benson. While kids aren't in the plan for me, my life is full of love, purpose, and adventure (with a dash of true crime podcasts, road-trips, Jesus and Diet Coke). I also work as a NICU nurse- a career that has shaped my heart and deepened my appreciation for the tiniest, most powerful moments in life. IT'S THIS SAME HEART FOR PEOPLE THAT LED ME INTO PHOTOGRAPHY, WHERE I NOW GET TO CAPTURE POWERFUL MOMENTS OF LIFE!

Blessed as a travel nurse, my journey has taken me to hospitals across the country including- Rhode Island (my favorite!), Florida, Texas, & Colorado to name a few- giving me a front-row seat to new communities, challenges & a chance to learn adaptability, perspective, & how to find beauty and purpose in unexpected places. I've always had a love for adventure! even outside of travel nursing, I've traveled to Iceland, Thailand, New Zealand, Africa, and 19+ U.S. National parks. I even went on a mission trip, an experience that left a lasting mark on my heart. Even after all of that, at the end of the day Indiana will always be home, and there's nothing like it! (we have the best sunsets hands down!)

As much as I love seeing the world and learning different cultures, I equally cherish curling up at home with a blanket, a good documentary & a home-made margarita. Life isn't always traditional, but it's abundant and beautiful- and that's exactly what I aim to capture through my lens.
